Rum is my calling, spirits my passion. I am inspired and fascinated by the variety that the world of alcoholic beverages has to offer. Even though rum, the refinement and storage of which is my daily bread, is the focus, my roots lie in other areas: starting with the distillation and processing of fruit, through wine and its spirits - especially Armagnac - to the world of bars and the beautiful country of Scotland with its whisky.

It makes me sad when connoisseurs limit themselves by only drinking whisky, for example. Why? Even though whisky is great, there are so many creations to discover and countless unforgettable moments of enjoyment to experience. I was also able to infect my wife Valerie with my enthusiasm, and so we combine almost every trip with a visit to distilleries and producers of liquid stimulants.

I have been sharing my knowledge and experiences from the entire world of alcoholic enjoyment for several years on my YouTube channel and in my Facebook group " Wagemut Taste Academy" . In order to delve even deeper into the subject, I am now turning to written form. I would like to invite you to accompany me on my journey, to get to know and taste the best spirits.
